My History
I have had an intense interest in computer graphics and fine art that dates back over two decades. My interest in computer graphics was sparked when parents bought an Atari console in the early 80's.While my attention was drawn in by Space Invaders, my parents liked the machine because it kept me and my friends from "lighting things on fire." My father was becoming increasing adept at computer programming as his work was requiring more skills for programming machinery. He bought the family a TRS80 computer from RadioShack along with programming manuals. My dad also had a subscription to Rainbow magazine which had many articles on Basic coding. My first experience with computer programming came by manually inputting code from the magazine articles to get free games. Looking back, I feel lucky because my generation was the first to grow up with computer games. With video games being a multi-billion dollar industry today, I still find excitement in video gaming because it has evolved (by way of the development of the internet) into people being able to play strategy games a world away from each other in real time.
My other love as a child was doing fine art.
Later on after high school, I pursued computer programming in college, but found it was not for me. Leaning more toward the artistry than the logic, I wanted to stay in graphics. My innate artistic abilities won many awards in my elementary school years. I studied pottery and painting throughout high school. I has always loved to draw. I extended my interest back to computers when the internet surfaced in the early 90's, when I found I could combine my love for classic art with computer graphics. I obtained an associate's degree in multimedia, and continue to self-educate myself with the latest software and skills. My 3-D talents, given wings by my work with Starlight Productions, have demonstrated my creativity in the full-dome market around the world. My work experience and education have supported my childhood interests and creativity which will influence the full-dome industry for years to come.
